PLN PII Malaysia Overview

PLN PII Malaysia was first initiated by the PII Pusat, which entrusted Ms. Grace Liliana in July 2022 with the mandate to establish PLN PII Malaysia. This initiative was followed up by communications with few Indonesian engineers residing in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Johor, Kuantan, and Negeri Sembilan, which became the pioneer members to form PLN PII Malaysia.


Eventually, PLN PII Malaysia and its Executive Committee 2022–2025 were officially established through the SK PII Pusat No.055/KPP-PII/VIII/2022. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Kuala Lumpur on 23 August 2022, witnessed by PII Pusat Chairman Danis Hidayat Sumadilaga, Ambassador Hermono, staff members of the Indonesian Embassy Kuala Lumpur, and invited guests from various Indonesian communities in Malaysia.

Partnerships

We facilitate benchmarking between PII and leading institutions such as The Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), supporting the adoption of Malaysia’s proven engineering practice systems as a benchmark across Asia.

Best Practice 
Evaluation

We assess best practices from various countries and organizations, focusing on energy transition, circular economy implementation, digital transformation, healthcare advancements, and resilient, sustainable infrastructure development.

Supporting Engineer Mobility

We serve as a bridge to enhance the mobility of Indonesian engineers working abroad and organize Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programs across Southeast Asia.

Role

We strengthen PII’s presence on the international stage, advancing national self-reliance, boosting global competitiveness, and delivering continuous added value to national development.
